COVID-19 news

January 17, 2022
GymBC’s current interpretation of the restrictions is that all
Gymnastics clubs can remain open for training activities!

October 20, 2021

It was announced last week at Dr. Bonnie Henry's press conference that the provincial mask mandate has changed from individuals age 9+ to individuals 5+. This means that there will be more consistent mask requirements in the school system, and in other public spaces in BC (including in GymBC member clubs).
Please make sure your kids have mask on when entering the building.

July 3, 2021

As of July 1, the province of BC has entered into Step 3 of BC's Restart Plan. WorkSafeBC has instructed all businesses to transition away from publicly posted COVID-19 Safety Plans towards developing an internal Communicable Disease plan. Club Aviva has begun this transition and will remove our COVID-19 Safety Plan as soon as the transition is complete.

December 3, 2020

Club Aviva will be reopening as of Friday, Dec 4. Recreational classes will resume on Saturday, Dec 5. All customers will be expected to review Club Aviva's updated COVID-19 Safety Plan which will be posted on our website later tonight.

Our Fall 2020 session will be extended by one week into the break which was originally scheduled between the Fall and Spring sessions. The Calendar on our website has been updated with the new dates of the session.

November 30, 2020

Due to the recent Provincial Health Order we have made the difficult decision to postpone registration for our Spring 2020 session. Registration was scheduled to begin on December 1 but on November 24, the government announced that gymnastics clubs must close effective immediately until new guidelines are released. These guidelines were promised for November 30 but have yet to be released.

As we have no idea when we will be able to reopen, our current plan is to delay registration, extend the Fall session as needed, and push back the start of the Spring session. We hope this will allow us to offer the eighteen classes which our Fall customers have paid for.

Thanks for your ongoing support and continued business during these uncertain times. We are trying our utmost to offer quality programming in as safe a manner as possible and hope we will receive permission to open again shortly.

November 24, 2020

Effective immediately: Gymnastics BC has ordered all clubs in the province to shut down. Club Aviva will be complying. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. We will provide further updates via Facebook, Twitter, Email, and Website as soon as we have more information. Please do not call the office to ask for an update as we need to keep the phone lines clear for parents of children who need to be picked up.

November 19, 2020

The November 19 PHO extends the restrictions put in place on November 7 and expands them to the entire province. As Club Aviva is located in Fraser Health, we have been under these restrictions since November 7. Our safety plan has been re-posted with a new date but no changes were necessary.

November 7, 2020

Club Aviva is aware of the November 7 public health order. We have reviewed our COVID safety plan and confirm it meets the requirements set out by viaSport for physically distanced indoor sporting activities. Coaches will ensure "hands-free" instruction unless a participants safety is at risk. Participants are already physically distanced and placed within cohorts. All programs will remain operational at this point in time.

August 15, 2020

Fall 2020 registration will be opening on Monday, August 17. For more information please see the Classes page. To view the schedule please use the links above.

July 18, 2020

We have started accepting registration for summer camps. Group sizes will be limited to six participants and there will be a maximum of two groups at a time. See the Camps page for more info.

June 29, 2020

We have now started processing refunds for gymnastics classes and birthday parties. Refunds will be processed in the order we receive them. Please fill out the PDF form on our website and send it via email to
